Description

Rawson's Bridge is a bridge built around 1805, possibly designed by John Rennie. It is constructed of red brick with gritstone coping. The bridge features a single span with a wide segmental brick arch and a band above it. The curved splayed parapet ends in brick piers and has four sandstone half round hub protectors. This bridge is part of a series of bridges over the Maud Foster drain, which were created during the draining of the Fens by John Rennie.
