Description
Top Lodge is an early to mid 19th century building constructed of brick with stone dressings. It is a single-storey structure characterized by picturesque asymmetry. The front facing the road features a gabled roof and a projecting open porch with four-centred arches. The windows are two and three-light mullion and transom types, adorned with hood-moulds and diamond lattice work. The gable displays the Beaumont arms and a carved lion. The eaves overhang, and the barge boards are ornamented with trellis work that continues along the eaves cornice, complete with finials. A central stone stack in the Tudor style is also present.
