Description

Rose Cottage is a timber-frame cottage dating to around 1700. It is constructed with brick infill and has a thatched roof. The original main range comprises one unit and has a 1½-storey height, with a two-storey extension added in the 19th century at a right angle. The main range features horizontal sliding sash windows and tall panelled framing with arch braces. The roof structure includes a queen strut tie beam and collar. An original stack is located on the east wall, with a more recent stack in the southwest corner.
