Description
Appleby House is a house dating from 1810. Formerly known as Lindores, it is constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof and a cornice supported by brackets. The front facade features three windows, each with 8/8 sash windows on the first floor and a 6/6 sash above a central porch. The porch is square with a flat roof and has two unfluted Doric columns with fluted pilaster responds. A contemporary front door is present. A two-storey wing of similar design extends to the rear. Two brick stacks are located at the rear of the main block and at the end of the wing.
