Description
The threshing barn at Hall Farm dates from the 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill from various periods and has a 20th-century corrugated roof, with the gable end facing the road. Attached to either end are 19th-century outbuildings. The barn has a brick plinth and consists of three bays. It has a double purlin roof with queen post roof trusses that are supported below by a central vertical beam and wind braces, which stand on low brick crossing walls. The external principal rafters are clasped. The four panels furthest from the road are two panels high, while the remaining panels are three panels high.
