Description
Church Farmhouse and Upper Church Farmhouse are a pair of dwellings, originally built around 1800, with a subsequent renewal of a 17th-century range. They were subdivided prior to 1994. The buildings are constructed of red brick, with some rubble stone visible in the right end wall, and feature an exposed timber truss in the left end gable. The roof is of plain tiles, with a central axial stack on the rear slope. The main facade is a long two-story section with a four-window arrangement of three-light casement windows, with cambered heads to the ground floor windows. A central arched doorway provides access. A left-end extension is built using Measham "gobs." Internally, the buildings contain a fireplace and ceiling beams. A 19th-century brick plinth with spear-headed railings and a gate runs along the front of the property.
