Description
The mill wheel and retaining walls at King's Mills, located approximately 35 metres southwest of The Priest House Hotel, date from around 1800. The structure features a large cast iron mill wheel, approximately 5 metres in diameter, which includes a gear-wheel and grooves for wooden paddles, although the paddles are currently missing. The brick retaining walls arch over the mill stream at both ends. This site is a surviving fragment of a larger mill complex.
