Description
The Spital is an outbuilding that was formerly a lodge or possibly a small ice house, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a corrugated iron roof, which has a moulded stone stack at the right end. The building has a cable facing on the front right side and is one storey with a basement.
On the left side, there is a door with 19th-century steps leading up to it, and to the right, there is a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel. The left end has a blocked window, while in the basement, there is a door and a partly blocked three-light window. Inside, there is a stone fireplace with a four-centred arch and a moulded hood mould above it.
