Description
Wardley House is a house dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed ashlar stone with a Collyweston tile roof and stands two storeys tall. The building is arranged in a U-plan, with gables facing the main street. The gables feature vertically aligned 2-light casements. The main block has one 2-light casement and one 3-light casement on the first floor. In the re-entrant angle of the right-hand range, there is a narrow, two-storey brick tower. There is also a later addition that alters the entrance on the right side of the main range. The house has three ashlar stacks and one stack made of ashlar and brick. At the rear, there is a range of attached outbuildings and stables made of rubble and ashlar with stone tiles, featuring six timber stable doors.
