Description

The Old Rectory is a house dating from the early 19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. The west front is finished in brick and stucco, topped with a Swithland slate roof that features two gable stacks. The building has two storeys and includes a plinth and a dentilled cornice.

On the south front, there are three bays. To the right, there is a large, round, projecting bay that has a cornice and parapet, along with a large tripartite glazing-bar sash window supported by thick brick mullions. To the left of this bay are two additional glazing-bar sashes. Above, there are three similar glazing-bar sashes.

Attached to the left is a lower, two-storey wing with a slate roof and a single bay, featuring glazing-bar sashes on both storeys. To the right, there is a set-back, two-storey wing that is not stuccoed and also has a slate roof. This wing has a large 20th-century lean-to conservatory against its lower storey and a small glazing-bar sash above. The north front is constructed of brick and is not stuccoed, featuring a central doorway and irregular fenestration.
