Description

Hunters Lodge is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof. The building has a three-part plan, with one bay to the left of the door, which is set within a lean-to porch. The windows are three-light casements with cambered brick heads, and two of the right-hand windows flank a blocked doorway. The right-hand bay appears to be a slightly later addition. Upper windows are in a similar style, and a sill band runs along the front. Gable and axial stacks are present. A one-and-a-half storey brick and Welsh slate rear wing extends to the right, featuring paired doors within a Victorian porch with bargeboards, and small windows at first floor level. The group value of the building lies in its contribution to the character of the area.
