Description

This tombstone, located about 1 metre east of the Church of All Saints, is likely from the 17th century. It is a rectangular stone slab featuring four plain shields in relief, arranged in panels with plain raised borders. The northern border is incomplete, indicating that it may have been truncated at that end. It is believed to mark the grave of Peter Temple (1600-1663), who was a judge at the trial of Charles I.
