Description
The Old Rectory is a cottage that was once a rectory, dating from the early 17th century, with restoration and extension around 1900. The front is made of coursed rubble stone with quoins and stone dressings, while the rest of the building is mainly red brick. It has a plain tile roof with brick end stacks. The gable ends are plain and feature fish scale tile hanging that creates a single diamond pattern, with the gable facing the front to the left. The building has one and a half storeys and includes three 3-light stone mullion windows with hood moulds. There is a part-glazed door located to the center right, along with three 3-light dormers above. On the right end, there is a small 1st floor 2-light casement window. At the rear, there is a 1.5 storey wing. Inside, the property features chamfered beams and an inglenook fireplace.
