Description

This is an early 19th-century former malthouse range, now the premises of H Church & Son Agricultural Merchants. Located on the corner of Fairfield Road where it is joined by several other streets, the building is constructed of red brick with an eaves cornice and a hipped slate roof. It is two storeys high. The eastern elevation incorporates brick end pilasters that define the rounded corner of the building. The southern elevation features a western advanced wing of painted brick. Small windows are situated under the eaves, and the lower windows have segmental or gauged flat brick arches. Some modern windows and doors have been introduced. A gabled hoist faces east.
