Description
The Former Towles Mill is a building dating from around 1840. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and has plain tile roofs. The structure stands four storeys high and features a thirteen-window range, along with a windowless projection at the northeast corner. Notable architectural details include a cornice and glazing bars, a central pediment with a semi-circular window that also has glazing bars and a keystone. The end gables are designed as pediments and have similar windows. Most of the windows are four-pane sash windows, except for those on the second floor, which have 20th-century two-pane louvres. There are also 20th-century extensions on the west side and at the rear.
