Description
Gainsborough House is a house from the early 19th century, possibly with an earlier core. It has a rendered and painted white exterior, a hipped Swithland slate roof, and two ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and features a three-window range with a double front. It has a complete wooden Doric entablature and 12-pane sash windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within an architrave of fluted Doric pilasters, topped with a radiating fanlight. The house also includes a distyle Doric porch.
