Description

The Obelisk at Garendon Park is a structure from the 1730s, designed by Ambrose Phillipps of Garendon, who died in 1737. It is made of red brick and rendered, supported by a thick iron plate resting on four ball feet. The obelisk stands on a stone pedestal that features a cornice and base moulding.
