Description
The lodge and archway at Garendon Park, built in the 1830s by William Railton, features red brick construction with stone dressings and a pyramidal roof made of Swithland slate on the stair turret, which replaced an earlier spiral roof. Designed in a "Tudor" style, it includes a four-centred carriage arch with an oriel window above, showcasing shields of arms in panels. The structure is adorned with crow-stepped gables, angle buttresses, and finials, and has an octagonal stair turret on the west side. There are single rooms made of granite rubble on either side of the main structure.
