Description
The pigeoncote at Manor Farm, built in 1715 and altered in the late 19th century, was restored in 1977. It is constructed of brick and features a pyramidal plain tile roof. The structure has a brick plinth, a first-floor band, and moulded brick eaves. It is designed in two stages with a square plan. The west side includes a central doorway with a segmental head, flanked by two plaques from 1977, and above that, the date 1715 is displayed in burnt headers. The east side features a double cartshed opening from the 19th century, supported by a brick pier and a wooden lintel. The south side has four cross breathers located near the eaves. At the top, the roof is finished with an open-ended gablet. Inside, there are full-height brick nest boxes and shelves, along with a 20th-century cross beam roof.
