Description
The property comprises a pair of early 18th-century houses located on Main Street. They are constructed of brick with Swithland slate roofs, forming an L-shaped block, with number 2 situated in a rear wing. The front elevation features a central doorway and a two-light casement window, which is a replacement within the original opening, to its left. To the right of the doorway is a later rebuild, incorporating a three-light casement window. An original brick sill band runs across the left-hand bay only, while a continuous moulded eaves cornice runs along the entire front. A coped gable is present on the left-hand side, featuring a high rubble plinth and a blocked upper window. The brick sill band extends across the gable and continues along the rear wing (number 2), which has two bays with a doorway and casement windows. A later bay beyond incorporates the remainder of an earlier building, evidenced by a partial granite rubble wall. A three-light casement window on each floor is also present in this later extension. Gable stacks are visible on the front range, and an axial stack is located within the rear wing.
