Description
Manor House is a building that likely dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, with extensive remodeling in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and features plain and fishscale tile roofs. The house has four brick ridge stacks with paired and triplet shafts and decorative bargeboards.
The structure is two storeys high and has an L-plan layout. The east elevation consists of four bays. There is an off-centre flat-roofed porch with a doorway that has a swept hood, flanked by single light windows with plain hoodmoulds. The porch contains a panelled door with a rectangular overlight. To the left, there is a wooden cross window with a similar hoodmould, and to the right, there are two similar windows, along with four smaller windows above.
The north elevation features twin gables, with one cross window and another window converted into French doors. Above, there are two smaller cross windows and two 2-light casements. The rear wing, which may date from the 18th century, has irregular fenestration. Inside this range, there is one stop-chamfered beam, while other interior features, including the staircase, are from the 19th century. The house also boasts a good Edwardian chimneypiece.
