Description
The gate piers and retaining wall to the north west of Brizlincote Hall Farmhouse are the remnants of the original formal approach to the house, dating from the early 18th century. They are constructed from rubble sandstone and ashlar. The pair of gate piers features a moulded base and pilaster strips on two faces, with the inner face adorned with scroll terminations. Each pier has a moulded cornice and a concave pyramidal top. The piers are connected by low rubblestone retaining walls that lead to two similar end piers. The structure is much damaged.
