Description

This is an early 19th-century house, with later 19th and 20th-century additions and alterations. It incorporates a former outbuilding. The house is built of painted red brick with a plain tile roof, featuring a rendered brick ridge stack and a brick gable stack to the north, plus a dentilled eaves band. It is two storeys high with two bays, plus a later advanced gabled bay to the west and a single-storey single-bay wing to the east. A pilastered doorcase with a moulded cornice frames a panelled door and overlight to the west. Two two-light segment-headed windows are present to the east; the eastern window has a small-paned horizontal sliding sash, while the western window has a small-paned casement. The gabled bay to the west has a blank elevation to the north and a fixed small-pane window facing east. The eastern lower wing has a flat-headed two-light casement. Above, there are two three-light horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars and a small-pane casement window facing east, within the gabled bay.
