Description

This cottage, located to the east of Tutholme, dates from the early 18th century and has some alterations from the early 19th century. It is constructed from ashlar, stone rubble, and red brick, featuring a first floor band to the ashlar bay. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a brick ridge stack. The cottage is a single storey plus attic and consists of two bays.

The main elevation shows an ashlar bay on the east side and brick over an ashlar plinth on the west side. The western bay includes a fixed small pane segment-headed window to the west and a plank door below a segment head to the east. To the east, there is a blocked doorcase and a flat-headed two-light small pane casement window. Above this, there is a small single light window over the blocked door and a glazing bar sash in a raking dormer at the center.

On the rear elevation, there is a similar sash in a raking dormer on the western bay and a two-light segment-headed window with a small pane casement above to the east. Inside, the cottage features an inglenook fireplace and a small winder staircase. The building is currently in a dilapidated condition.
