Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on Brook Bottom Road, Marple Brook. It is constructed of roughly-coursed rubble to the front and random rubble at the rear, with slate and graduated stone slate roofing and a brick chimney stack. The house is three bays wide, with sections of single and double depth, and has two storeys plus a basement. A recessed bay on the right-hand side is now used as a garage. The ground floor has two three-light windows and a front door positioned in the second bay. The first floor has two three-light windows. All windows are fitted with flat-faced mullions and surrounds. Gable stacks are present. A three-light window is visible in the left-hand gable, and two two-light windows at the rear. The rear section of the building is roofed separately.
