Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house located on Brook Bottom Road, Brook Bottom. The house is constructed of dressed stone with a slate roof, and features a rear wall of random rubble. It is a one-bay, double-depth house built over a stream, extending to two storeys. A door is positioned on the right side, featuring a square-cut surround and a small, flat canopy. There is a three-light casement window on the ground floor, with a cambered keystone lintel above it. A paired sash window is present on the first floor. A gable chimney stack is visible. The building is included in the list for its group value. It was previously listed twice, under the parish of Marple, but those entries were removed from the list on 3 October 2018.
