Description

Laneside Farmhouse is an early 19th-century double pile house located on Laneside Road in New Mills. The building is constructed of coursed stone and has two storeys. The front features three windows with stone lintels and keystones, which do not have glazing bars and are framed in wood. Below these windows is a round-headed doorway that also has a keystone, impost, and plinth blocks, though it features a modern door. The house has stacks at both gable ends. On the rear elevation, there is an 18th-century window with glazing bars and hung sashes, and one gable includes a three-light window with stone mullions on both floors, with the centre light having glazing bars.
