Description

This section of Harrington Bridge, located on Tamworth Road in Sawley, dates back to 1790 and has undergone minor repairs since its construction. The bridge is made of ashlar and features three wide segmental arches, which are supported by rusticated voussoirs. Triangular sectioned cutwaters are positioned between the arches on either side. Above the arches, there is a plain band with simple parapets. This section is part of the 18th-century bridge that has survived the floods of 1904.
