Description

The north section of Harrington Bridge, located at SK 472 313, is a road bridge built in 1790 with 20th-century additions. It is constructed of ashlar and brick and features six small segmental stone arches, with semi-circular cutwaters positioned between the arches and at either end. The bridge has ashlar spandrels topped with a plain band, and 20th-century brick parapets with stone copings. This section is part of the 18th-century bridge that survived the floods of 1904.
