Description
Abbey Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located in the village of Dale Abbey. The building is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and red brick, topped with a plain tile roof that features gable stacks. It has a chamfered stone plinth and a dentil eaves cornice. The farmhouse is two storeys high with a symmetrical two-bay south elevation. The central doorway is set beneath a wedge brick lintel and features a 19th-century half-glazed door with a rectangular overlight. On either side of the door are glazing bar sash windows, also under wedge brick lintels. Above, there are two similar windows, and in the centre, there is a blocked window with a wedge brick lintel.
