Description

The surface of the Market Place consists of an 18th or early 19th-century (or possibly earlier) paved area and the adjacent pavements. The paving is primarily limestone setts, with some flagstones incorporated. Raised pavements are located on the west and north-eastern sides of the Market Place. The listed buildings surrounding the Market Place form a notable group.
