Description

The Royal British Legion Headquarters, located at No 9 Market Place, dates from around 1800. The building is roughcast with plain eaves and features a tiled roof. It stands four storeys high and has four windows. The entrance is framed by a moulded wood doorcase. There is a gabled wing at right angles to the main structure, which is three storeys tall and has three windows with plain lintels. The building also has coved plaster eaves. It is part of a group of listed buildings in Market Place.
