Description
Nos 31 and 33 in Market Place are early 19th-century buildings made of red brick, featuring a brick eaves cornice and an old tiled roof. They stand three storeys tall and have four windows, although the glazing bars are missing. The first floor has later bays added. No 31 has a modern shop front, while No 33 features a double-fronted shop front from the early 20th century. Between the two shops, there is a round arched entrance adorned with stucco moulding, a keystone, and brackets leading to Friths Yard. These buildings are listed for their group value, as they contribute to the character of the Market Place.
