Description
Birdholme House, which includes the offices of H. Camm (Number 3), a part known as the maisonette (centre), and a part known as The Flat (northern end), is a building from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a hipped roof, with stone slates at the front and modern pantiles on the side. The building is three storeys high and has been divided into two properties.
The front facade has four windows with stone architraves; the eastern windows are from the 18th century, while the western windows are from the 17th century and were originally fitted with mullions. The windows include both sashes and casements. On the west side, there is a two-storey 17th-century porch with a coped gable. The west elevation has no windows, but there are two light mullioned windows on the side. At the rear, the building features two gables from the 17th century.
Inside, there are some exposed ceiling beams and six panelled doors, although most of the interior is not accessible.
