Description
Whittington Hall Hospital, formerly known as Whittington Hall, is an early 19th-century building located on the north-west side of High Street in Whittington. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features an eaves cornice and blocking course, topped with a hipped slate roof. The south-west facade is two storeys high and includes stone bands above the ground floor and at the first-floor sill. The north-west end of the facade is slightly advanced and has five windows, with the central three set in a two-storey stone bay that has blind panels between the windows. On the south-east side, there are four windows, with the two in the center being advanced. All windows are sash style with glazing bars, and there is a modern porch with a large segmental hood at the ground floor.
