Description
Nos 40 to 53 Long Row is a late 18th century to early 19th century industrial housing terrace made of red brick with a slate roof. The doors are arranged in pairs and are stepped down the hillside. The facades of Nos 51 to 53 are now roughcast. The building is two storeys high, with each house featuring two windows that are sash style, mostly with late 19th century glazing, except for Nos 45 to 53, which have modern glazing. All windows, except for the ground floor of No 51, are in former sash spaces. The doors are off centre and generally have cambered head linings. The windows are topped with stone lintels. Each house is accompanied by coursed stone garden walls, approximately 3 feet high, with pitched stone coping.
