The Stationmaster's House at Wingfield Station is a house built around 1840 by Francis Thompson of Derby for the North Midland Railway Company. It is constructed from regularly coursed ashlar gritstone and features three tall ashlar chimneys with moulded caps, along with hipped slated roofs. The house has two storeys and three bays, with a projecting wing on the right side. The front includes three casement windows with stone cills and a triangular stone porch that has a slated roof and a simple doorcase with a rectangular light to the right. The right side elevation also has a doorcase, a flat weather hood, and wooden brackets. The building is listed for its group value.
