Description
The Old Vicarage is a house built in the early 19th century, with some additions from the mid-19th century and minor alterations from the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick with stucco dressings and features a hipped slate roof with wide bracketed eaves and brick side wall stacks. The building has two storeys and three main bays, with a recessed two-bay addition to the left and an advanced single bay in the angle.
The main entrance has a central doorcase supported by Doric columns, featuring a fluted frieze and wide cornice. The door is panelled with a divided overlight, and it is flanked by full-height 12-pane sash windows. Above, there are three similar shorter windows. All windows on the ground floor are set beneath stuccoed flat arches with projecting sills. The left bay in the angle contains four 4-pane sash windows below similar arches, and to the left of this, the ground floor has a 20th-century window with a 12-pane sash below a stuccoed flat arch.
Inside, the vicarage features a stick baluster staircase with scrolled tread ends and a column newel.
