Description

The circular water trough located west of the octagonal building at Riddings Farm dates from the mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. It has a circular shape and stands approximately 2 feet high. The trough is constructed from sections, each featuring a raised bead panel and a roll moulded rim. In the center, there is a large circular pipe that was originally used to pump water. This trough is part of the home farm associated with Riddings House, which belonged to the local industrialist, Oakes.
