Description
Amberside Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from ashlar coal measures sandstone. It sits on a shallow plinth and features chamfered quoins, end ashlar sidewall stacks with moulded caps, and a hipped slate roof with projecting eaves. The main range is three storeys high, with two lower attached two-storey parallel ranges at the rear that run at right angles to the main range. The main elevation has three bays with sash windows set in projecting frames. The ground floor features full-height tripartite windows, while the first floor openings have moulded cornices above them. The central doorway has a four-panelled door, a tall rectangular overlight, and a moulded cornice above.
