Description
Ridlington House is a house that was formerly a rectory, with origins dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries. It is constructed of rubble and ashlar, topped with stone tiles, and features two storeys and an attic, with a 19th-century addition that creates an L-plan layout.
On the left side, there is a low 17th-century range that includes one stone-dressed sash window and a casement dormer. The higher 18th-century range has two timber-lintelled sash windows and a small casement above. There is a stone-dressed entrance with a small casement window above at the re-entrant angle. The house has a shallow bay with sash windows and a double pile design with south-facing gables. The first floor features four timber-lintelled sash windows, while the ground floor includes a small casement window and, to the right, a large sash window. The original ashlar stacks have been heightened in brick, and there are also all-brick stacks, along with ashlar quoins.
