Description
No. 35 Church Street is a house, now including a shop, likely built in the 17th to 18th century. The building has a gable facing the street and is constructed of whitewashed rubble with a modern tiled roof. The left gable has been built up with brick. It is two storeys high and has a two-unit plan with a central door set in a gabled porch. To the left of the door is a triple light sash window, and to the right is a 19th-century shop window. Above, there are small paned casement windows. The front wall slightly changes angle to the right of the doorway, but the eaves line remains straight across, with a greater projection to the right. There are gable stacks and an axial stack located behind the entry. To the left, there is a 19th-century single-storey extension featuring another triple light sash window.
