Description
The Old Rectory is a cottage dated 1647, marked with the initials H.A. in deeply cut letters and diamond stops. The building has been altered over time and is constructed from coursed rubble with a new tiled roof. It is 1½ storeys high and features a three-unit plan. On the left side, there is one bay that may have a blocked door to the street, while there are two additional bays on the right. All windows are casements with chamfered timber lintels, and there are new dormers added to the structure. The west elevation includes a doorway flanked by casement windows, with three old gabled dormers above. A single buttress, which is cut by a window on the street front, may date back to the 14th century.
