Description
The Manse to the Congregational Church is an early 19th-century building located on Adderly Street in Uppingham. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with brick end stacks. The building is three storeys high and has a double-fronted design with two window ranges. The entrance consists of a 20th-century door with a fanlight above, showcasing interlaced Gothic glazing bars and a keystone. The ground and first floors have 8/8 sash windows with slightly cambered heads and keystones, while the second floor features 20th-century 2-light casement windows, also beneath similar keystones. To the east, there is a low two-storey brick wing, which is likely an earlier structure that was originally a separate cottage.
