Description

This is an 18th-century stable located at No. 56 (The Hall) on the south side of Uppingham High Street. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a hipped roof made of Collyweston stone slate. The building has one storey and an attic. On the ground floor, there are three openings: a window, a door, and another window, all set in raised architraves with keystones. There are also 20th-century garage doors and a similar window. Above, there is a hipped dormer. The interior retains original stall divisions and hay baskets. This stable is included for its group value with the adjacent building.
