Description
Mill Farmhouse and the adjoining former watermill date from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble stone, featuring quoins and stone dressings, topped with a 20th-century tile roof that has a brick central ridge and stacks at the left end and rear. The structure has an L-shaped plan, with the house on the left and the mill on the right, which projects forward with its gable facing.
The property is two and two-and-a-half storeys high, with three 2/2 sash windows above a canted bay, a part-glazed door, and a similar sash window. The lintels above the windows have keystones. On the left inner side of the mill, there is a door with a 2-light casement window above it. There is also a door to the right and a central loft door on the first floor of the facing gable, along with additional openings in the gable on the right side. At the rear of the house, there is a wing and a one-storey extension. Inside the mill, most of the original machinery remains intact, including millstones, iron cogs and wheels, and wooden shoots.
