Description

Gwash Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on Main Street in Great Casterton. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a roof made of Collyweston stone slate, with a brick stack at the end. The house has a gable end facing the street and is two stories high with a two-window range on the south front. The central door is set in a canted 20th-century porch that also has a Collyweston stone slate roof. Below timber lintels, there are three-light casement windows. The building has been extended to the west and is included for its group value.
