Description
The Orchard House is a house from the 18th century located in South Luffenham. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone with quoins and stone dressings, topped with a Collyweston slate roof featuring brick stacks at the central ridge and both ends. The house has a gable facing to the right and consists of one long range under a single roof, reflecting two periods of building.
The left section of the house is 2½ storeys high and features two 8/8 sash windows above a 10/10 sash window and a part glazed door, with a 2-light hipped dormer above. The right section, also 2½ storeys, has two 2-light casements and a central part glazed door, with keystones above the lintels. There is a 2-light hipped dormer above this section as well. Additionally, there is a small lean-to on the left end and a one-storey extension on the right end.
