Description

The Dexter tomb is a double table tomb located in the churchyard of St. Peter in Empingham. It dates from the late 18th century and features stone fluted half balusters at the corners. The tomb has an inscription dedicated to John Hing Dexter and other family members. It is situated to the south of the church, near the shaft of the churchyard cross. This tomb is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
