Description

The Syson tomb, located in the churchyard of St. Peter, is a table tomb dated 1869. It is constructed from stone and features a plinth with polygonal piers at the corners and along the longer sides. The top of the tomb is battlemented at these points. There are inscription panels with quatrefoils in the spandrels of the blank arches, commemorating Thomas Syson, who died in 1869, along with other family members. The tomb is situated close to the north wall of the church's chancel, positioned between the north transept and the north vestry.
